Malita lives with her mother, brother and two sisters in Kalikiliki, a township near the Zambian capital, Lusaka.

Like many, Malita's family struggle to survive on the meagre wage her mother brings home, unable to afford decent food or an education. Sadly Malita's father died when she was little, leaving them with nothing.
